Celebrate Your Progress

When was the last time you celebrated your accomplishments, both inside and outside the gym?

If it’s been a while, do it today. You deserve it.

One of the things that keeps me motivated with fitness is tracking my progress.

As you guys know, I’m always taking photos and videos and comparing the recent ones with different stages of my journey.

Truth is, we can’t see our progress day to day. Sometimes, it can feel like we’re not getting anywhere at all. (I feel this way with splits currently!)

But when you compare last month to this month, or last year to this year? That’s when your consistency and hard work really shows.

As long as you’re not making anyone uncomfortable, I’d recommend filming your workouts from time to time. It’s not cheesy and it’s not conceited - it’s a great motivation boost and an easy way to get valuable form feedback.

Your progress doesn’t have to be all physical, either. Take into consideration your higher confidence level, your form improvements, and your increased knowledge. These changes matter, too, and probably impact your life outside the gym in a positive way.

As we wrap up another year, take a moment today to reflect on everything you’ve accomplished so far. You’ve come a lot farther than you’re probably giving yourself credit for, and the past 3 years have not been easy. I’m proud of us! xoxo, Haileigh
