Current Beauty Favorites
As I approach my mid-30’s, I am appreciating quality beauty finds more than ever. Here are a few health and beauty products that I love right now and where you can find them.
Before we begin, a quick note: I wasn’t intending this to be a budget-friendly beauty post, but that is how it turned out. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by how affordable these are!
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2%
With its stylish glass dropper, I feel like a Gen Z influencer using this hyaluronic acid.
Water-based and suitable for all skin types, just a few drops restores moisture and vibrancy to my face. And did I mention it’s less than $10 a bottle?
Frownies Facial Patches
I started wearing Frownies religiously last year. If you’ve never heard of them, they are non-invasive paper wrinkle patches that you wear at night.
I use them on my forehead and on the nasolabial lines around my mouth.
If you’re having trouble getting the mouth patches to stick (a common complaint on the reviews), clean and dry the area beforehand with a bit of astringent. I find that my skin must be very dry for the patches to stay put overnight.
While I’ve had great results with Frownies, I will say they do not compare to the results from filler or Botox. Personally, I use Frownies to complement my other med-spa treatments that I get about 3x a year. These products seem to work best when all used together.
L'oreal Paris EverPure purple shampoo and conditioner
This shampoo and conditioner combo keeps my highlights fresh, cool, and non-brassy between coloring appointments. At less than $30 for both bottles, I’ve found that it works better than the more expensive beauty store brands.
Zima Dental Pod
Last but not least is the Dental Pod by Zima Dental. This cool appliance uses high-frequency 42,000 hz ultrasonic waves to get your retainers sparkling clean. Try it for yourself!
