How I Lost 35+lbs Postpartum
It took me a full year to physically recover from having my second daughter. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s definitely possible. And worth it!
I lost over 35lbs this past year and I feel stronger than ever. Here are the lifestyle changes and habits that helped me reach my goals.
1) I track macros. I use the @rpstrength Diet Coach app to plan all of my meals. I pack lunch for work every day and I order takeout/eat out only about 1-2 meals a month.
2) I challenge myself at the gym and lift heavy 4x a week. On my off days, I walk as much as possible, preferably outdoors.
3) I sleep a lot, at least 7-8 hours a night. You can’t recover properly if you’re skimping on sleep. As you guys know, I get up very early to go to the gym, but I also go to bed early.
4) I don’t drink alcohol. I personally don’t like it and my life is better off without it. Besides, being hungover doesn’t align with my early morning workout schedule.
Keep in mind that everyone is different, and what works for me might not work best for you. That’s ok! It took me a lot of trial and error to get to the routine and habits that help me achieve my goals. 🖤
